Daana is a tasbeeh app made by Mudassar Raza. The short version of this policy: Daana collects nothing. What you count is between you and Allah, and it stays on your phone.
What the app keeps
So that your count is there the next time you open it, Daana keeps a few things in its own private storage on your phone:
- where the count of each dhikr has got to,
- the day each dhikr was last counted, so that the ones said a hundred times a day can begin afresh each day,
- which dhikr and which tasbeeh you last chose,
- whether Sound and Haptics are switched on,
- which of its hints you have already seen.
None of it leaves your phone. Deleting the app deletes it.
What the app does not do
Daana has no accounts and no sign-in. It shows no ads, contains no analytics or tracking of any kind, and never connects to the internet. It does not use your camera, microphone, location, contacts or photos. It sells nothing and shares nothing, because it has nothing to share.
This website
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from anyone else: its fonts and pictures are served from here. The tasbeeh at the top of the home page keeps its count in your browser’s own storage, so it is there when you come back; it is never sent anywhere. Clearing your browser’s data for this site removes it.
Like any website, the services that host this one keep the ordinary records of requests made to them, such as addresses and times, to keep it running and safe.
Children
Daana is suitable for everyone. Because it collects nothing, it collects nothing from children either.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with the date it takes effect.
